ROBO-ONE is a fiercely competitive hobby robot tournament where contestants pit their robots against others in combat. The competition had been held in Japan every year for more than 15 years prior to when Robotics;Notes takes place. Ever since the robot boom, the competition's broadcasts have attracted high viewership ratings. In 2010,[1] the Robotics Research Association won the with their TanegashiMachine 3 in their debut appearance. In 2019, Mr. Pleaides won first place at the competition with the Robotics Research Club taking second place.

- In Robotics;Notes Elite, during Kaito and Akiho's Robo-One Tournament, many animations and frames from the Anime are used.
