Elephant Mouse Syndrome is a rare disorder that is only known to affect two people: Kaito Yashio and Akiho Senomiya. They both obtained it as a result of the MF Anemone Incident, being the only ones who fell unconscious for several days.
In the case of Kaito Yashio, he experiences 30 seconds each second when it activates, and he calls it "Slo-Mo". This attack gives him superhuman response time, reflexes, and speed, although too much of this can put a strain on his heart and make him extremely exhausted; when experiencing more than one attack in quick succession, he is barely able to move after it is over for several days.
In the case of Akiho Senomiya, every minute she only experiences as a single second when it activates, and it tends to happen when she is exhausted and/or sleep-deprived, putting her into a state similar to being catatonic or semi-comatose temporarily. Luckily for her, Kaito is often with her for this precise reason and is able to care for her until she recovers.

Because Elephant Mouse Syndrome is a result of being experimented on with Noah technology, it is similar in origin to the partial gigalomania and Chaos Child Syndrome of many of the ChäoS;Child characters that was caused by Noah II during the Third Melt.
